Sally Tennant, Chairman of the Board
Sally worked for the first 18 years of her career as an analyst and institutional fund manager for SG Warburg, Morgan Grenfell and Gartmore. Following which, Sally became Chief Executive of Schroders Private Banking, Lombard Odier and Kleinwort Benson. Sally co-founded Beaumont Capital Management, an absolute return boutique which was bought by Schroders. In 2015 Sally joined Paladin Capital as Vice-Chairman of the Advisory Board and in December 2016 she was appointed Chair of the Board at Style Research Limited. Sally was appointed Chairman of the Board at Duncan Lawrie in April 2016.
Byron Coombs, CEO
With extensive experience across banking and investment management, Byron's career spans over 30 years, with roles at Citibank, Merrill Lynch and Lloyds Bank International. Having left an Executive role at RBS in 2012, Byron spent two years in non-executive roles at Deutsche Bank and Coutts. Byron joined Duncan Lawrie as Chief Executive Officer in 2014.
Robert Armstrong, Non-executive Director
Robert is a financial market risk specialist with over 20 years’ experience encompassing wholesale markets & derivatives, retail banking, life insurance and pension schemes. Having started his banking career with Mellon Bank, Robert joined KPMG where he became a Partner and subsequently went on to work for Rabobank as Global Head of Market Risk, and for Abbey National as Group Market Risk Director. Upon joining Lloyds TSB in 2005 and following the merger with HBOS, Robert served as Group Market Risk Director of Lloyds Banking Group and Secretary of the Group ALCO, until he retired in 2011. Robert joined the Duncan Lawrie board as non-executive director in March 2013.
Tom Franks, Non-executive Director
Tom is Chief Executive of Camellia Plc, Duncan Lawrie's ultimate holding company. Tom spent over 26 years working for KPMG before joining Camellia in October 2014. Tom is a non-executive Director of Duncan Lawrie Limited and Duncan Lawrie Asset Management Limited.
Wayne Mathews, Finance Director
A Chartered Accountant with over 30 years' experience, after graduating from Warwick University, Wayne started his accounting career with Coopers & Lybrand, qualifying in 1982. He spent three years working in Hong Kong for KPMG and upon returning to London in 1988, worked for a short time with Midland Bank before joining Arbuthnot Latham, where he worked for 19 years. Wayne joined Duncan Lawrie as CFO and Finance Director in 2010.
Chris Relleen, Non-executive Director
Chris was formerly a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers and its predecessor firms, responsible for auditing and business advisory services, before retiring in 2002. Since retiring Chris has been a Director of Duncan Lawrie’s parent company, Camellia, and joined the Duncan Lawrie board as non-executive Director in 2003.
Susan Walker, Non-executive Director
Susan spent over 21 years at KPMG latterly as a Director in Corporate Finance. She joined Camellia Plc in 2014 as Finance Director Designate and was appointed Chief Financial Officer for the Camellia Group in June 2015. She is a chartered certified accountant and a non-executive director of a number of companies, including Goodricke Group Limited and United Finance Limited. Susan joined the Duncan Lawrie board as non-executive Director in 2016.
Richard Wastcoat, Non-executive Director
Richard spent 25 years working for Fidelity in the US, Asia and the UK. He was Chief Executive of Fidelity’s UK mutual fund business, and subsequently FundsNetwork, from 1999 until his retirement in 2008. During this period, he held several concurrent roles including overseeing Fidelity’s businesses in Spain, the Nordics, the Middle East and Africa, and India. Richard currently serves on the Board at the First State Investments and the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He was appointed to the Duncan Lawrie board as a non-executive Director in June 2012.
