As we celebrate International Women's Day (8 March), which focuses on achieving greater equality for women while also celebrating their achievements, we speak to our Private Banker Tamsin Lund who works in our Bristol office, for her experiences in developing relationships with successful, professional females.

"We live in a society which values equality, where numbers of female senior executives continue to rise. When I joined Duncan Lawrie last year, I decided to start my own networks and develop contacts, with an additional focus of getting to know hard-working, professional women working in my local area.

"An online search introduced me to women's networking events in and around Bath and Bristol. One particular group caught my eye, so I attended their upcoming event. They hold a lunch once a month, where I was greeted by a warm and friendly group of businesswomen, ranging from accountants and solicitors through to designers. What these women had in common was their passion to succeed and their desire to meet other women in business, but I was particularly impressed at the way they used the networking group to support each other in their business life, sharing experiences and business advice. I was inspired by their approach to business, but moreover at their support of fellow females in business."

Tamsin is a highly-skilled private banker who can help professional women not only with their banking needs but introduce them to other professionals who can support their wider business needs. When life changes such as selling a business or going through a divorce occur, it can be a very daunting time. Tamsin and her team are available to help you through these changes with efficiency and expertise.
